AGRICOLA: This is the online database created by the National Agricultural Library covering all aspects of agriculture and allied disciplines. Coverage: Articles: 1979--
ASFA: Aquatic Sciences & Fisheries Databases: Indexes journals, reports, and conference proceedings on the science and technology of marine, freshwater, and estuarine organisms and environments. Updated monthly. Coverage: 1971--
BioMed Central: Over 100 open access journals covering all areas of biology and medicine. Updated as published. Coverage: Varies
BioOne: BioOne is a collection of 83 Internet-based electronic Biology and Science research journals. All BioOne articles are full text, complete with illustrations and links from the original print source. BioOne is a collaboration between scientific societies, including scholarly societies, museums, universities, organizations, and the private sector. Updated as published. Coverage: Varies
Conference Papers Index: Provides citations to papers and poster sessions presented at major scientific meetings around the world. Subject emphasis since 1995 has been in the life sciences, environmental sciences and the aquatic sciences, while older material also covers physics, engineering and materials science. Updated bimonthly. Coverage: 1982-
Directory of Open Access Journals: This service covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals. As of 2007 there are 2,727 journals included in the directory. Updated as published. Coverage: Varies.

Environmental Science & Pollution Management: A multidisciplinary database providing unparalleled and comprehensive coverage of the environmental sciences. Abstracts and citations are drawn from over 4000 scientific journals and thousands of other sources including conference proceedings, reports, monographs, books and government publications. HighWire Press: HighWire Press at Stanford University develops and maintains the Web versions of important journals in biomedicine and other disciplines. As of June 27, 2007 Highwire offers 1,695,130 free full-text articles. Updated as published, Coverage: Varies.
IngentaConnect: IngentaConnect is a free service offering access to the research content of over 30,000publications via subscription, pay-per-view or document delivery. It provides tables of contents for journal issues and keyword access to article titles. Updated daily. Coverage: varies.
ISI Web of Science-Science Citation Index Expanded: is a multidisciplinary index to the journal literature of the sciences. It fully indexes 5,900 major journals and includes all cited references captured from indexed articles. Coverage: 1984--
